Filipino artist, John Paul Antido (b 1982) a.k.a. JAPS was born and raised in Antipolo City, a small town up the mountains where he currently lives and works to this day. He studied Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, taking up a major in Painting. The Artist uses impasto technique of laying thick paint with textured brushstrokes using vivid colors and bright hues.
